Happy Fourth of July!

This weekend the US celebrates 250 years of independence. As I've been thinking about Independence Day this year, I've found myself reflecting on another idea that deserves just as much attention: interdependence.
We don’t get through life alone - even if sometimes we think or
act like we do.
We all rely on people who encourage us, challenge us, teach us, forgive us, and remind us who we are when we've forgotten. That includes families, friends, neighbors, teachers, care partners, coaches, and communities.
At Yes, And...X, we call that simple truth Connection is Medicine.
Whether we're living with Parkinson's disease, caring for someone we love, navigating uncertainty, or simply trying to make sense of an increasingly divided world, connection remains one of the most powerful forces we have. Like exercise, simply knowing it works doesn't give you its benefits - you have to practice connection. And, just like exercise, connection doesn't solve every problem, but it changes how we face them together.
Perhaps connection is something our country could use a little more of right now.
Which brings me to another anniversary we're excited to celebrate:
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Rocky, a film released during America's Bicentennial celebration in 1976. Most people remember Rocky Balboa as the ultimate underdog. But after watching it again, I was struck by something deeper.
Rocky is really a story about the people who stand in his corner: Adrian. Mickey. Paulie. Even Apollo Creed, in his own complicated way, gives Rocky the opportunity that changes his life.
For fifty years, audiences have cheered Rocky's determination. This summer, we'd like to invite you to watch it through a different lens.
Beginning this month, we're launching Cinema Therapy: Rocky, a 16-week experience exploring resilience, identity, purpose, hope, and, above all, the relationships that help us keep getting back up.
As you celebrate with those you love this weekend, I hope you'll take a moment to think about the people who have stood in your corner and whose corner you might stand in next.
Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Yes, And...X.
Here's to independence, interdependence, and the connections that make them all possible.
Warmly,
Robert Cochrane, PhD CEO & Founder Yes, And...X
